The chital (or cheetal) deer (Axis axis), also known as the spotted deer or axis deer is a deer which commonly inhabits wooded regions of Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and most of India. It is the most common deer species in Indian forests. Its coat is reddish fawn, marked with white spots, and its underparts are white.Photo taken at Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National Park, on the way to Munnar from Coimbatore.
चीतल चकत्ते वाला हिरन होता है। दक्षिण एशिया के जंगलों मे यह बहुतायत से पाया जाता है। चीतल काफी शर्मीला किस्म का जीव होता है, कैमरे मे पकड़ मे कभी कभी ही आ पाता है। यह चित्र कोयम्बटूर से मुन्नार जाते समय राजामलाई संरक्षित पार्क मे खींचा गया।

दुबई मे इब्ने बतूता शापिंग मॉल जरुर देखिएगा, यहाँ पर विश्व की पुरानी सभ्यताओं के नाम पर जैसे चीन, भारत, मिश्र, परसिया, ट्युनिशिया और अन्दूलेशिया की थीम पर अलग अलग दीर्घाएं बनी हुई है। प्रत्येक दीर्घा मे उस सभ्यता/संस्कृति से सम्बंधित सजावट की गयी है। अब तक यह दुबई का सबसे बड़ा शापिंग मॉल था, लेकिन अब उससे भी बड़ा आ गया है, उस बारे मे अगले चित्र में।

दुबई की शेख ज़ाइद रोड, दुबई की लाइफ़लाइन कही जाने वाली यह सड़क आजकल ट्रैफिक से इतनी खचाखच भरी रहती है कि गाड़िया बम्पर से बम्पर से लगभग टकराते हुए चलती है। पीक आवर्स मे गाड़िया इस तरह से कदमताल करते हुए चलती है कि लगता है कि किसी मय्यात मे जा रही हो। घर से आफिस पहुँचने के लिए दो घन्टे कोई बड़ी बात नही। जब तक दुबई मेट्रो चालू नही होता तब तक तो ऐसे ही चलेगा।

चित्र मे दिखाई गयी इमारत बैंगलौर का उच्च न्यायालय (High Court) है। विधान सभा भवन के ठीक सामने स्थित,लाल पत्थर की यह इमारत पर्यटकों के आकर्षण का केन्द्र है। १८८४ मे बनी यह इमारत, कुछ समय पहले(१९७३) तक मैसूर हाई कोर्ट के नाम से जानी जाती थी। इस न्यायालय मे लगभग ४० न्यायाधीशों के बैठने के लिए स्थान है।
आज से बैंगलौर का नाम बैंगलूरू कर दिया गया है। इस बारे मे मेरे ब्लॉग पढें।
मछुवारे |Fishermen

केरल के कोवलम तट पर जाल को खींचते मछुवारे। मछुवारों का दिन सूर्यास्त के बहुत पहले शुरु हो जाता है, जब वे पिछली रात मे डाले जाल को खींचने के लिए समुद्र की ओर निकल पड़ते है। एक और बात, आजकल मछुवारे भी हाई टेक हो गए है, समुन्द्र पर निकलने से पहले अपना मोबाइल फोन ले जाना नही भूलते। मछली पकड़ते पकड़ते बाजार भाव का पता करते है। जैसी मछली वैसा भाव। किनारे तक आते आते इनका सारा माल बिक चुका होता है। चलो, कम से कम मोबाइल क्रान्ति से किसी का फायदा तो हुआ।

बापू की यह मोम की मूर्ति ,मुम्बई संग्रहालय मे ‘महात्मा’ प्रदर्शनी के दौरान प्रदर्शित की गयी थी।
मोहनदास करमचन्द गांधी , जो महात्मा गांधी नाम से भी जाने जाते हैं, विश्वप्रसिद्ध नेता थे । भारत की जनता उन्हें प्यार से बापू बुलाती थी और उन्हें स्वतन्त्र भारत का राष्ट्रपिता माना जाता है।
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was a major political and spiritual leader of India and the Indian independence movement. Throughout, Gandhi remained committed to non-violence and truth even in the most extreme situations. Gandhi is honoured as the Father of the Nation in India, a title first given him by Subhash Chandra Bose. Gandhi’s birthday on October 2 is annually commemorated as Gandhi Jayanti, and is a national holiday.

गेट वे आफ इन्डिया,किंग जार्ज पंचम के भारत आगमन की स्मृति मे बनाया गया था।अंग्रेज राज खत्म होने के बाद सन १९४७ आखिरी जहाज यहाँ से ही रवाना हुआ था।
