During Website/Application development process, we often need few scripts or plugins or other resources, to ease our software development life-cycle process. I am supporter of using whatever web resources, provided they are safe and secure. Why re-invent the wheel when somebody else has done it already. It's highly advisable to use available scripts/plug-ins and customize them as per your specific need. Nowadays there are many sites, which provides huge collection of quality scripts free or with some nominal charges.
I am a big fan of Codecanyon operated by Envato, this is my default resource for most of my requirement like Script, Plugin, template, graphics, logo or anything. The site has collection of thousands of scripts categorized under various programming languages/frameworks subcategories.
In addition CodeCanyon has network of various other useful sites like:
Themeforest – A site dedicated to various themes and templates.
CodeCanyon – Code snippets, full Scripts, Apps on various technologies/framework.
Videohive – Thousands of Royalty free Videos, Video clips and templates to choose from.
AudioJungle – Home of thousands of Royalty free audio files.
GraphicRiver – Huge collection of graphic assets like fonts, logos, graphic assets, presentations, info-graphics and much more. I am regular user of GraphicRiver.
PhotoDune – Huge collection of Royalty free stock photographs and collections from across the globe. I am big fan of the collection available here.
3DOcean – A very good collection of 3D assets, like 3D models, CG textures, HDRI images and much more. I personally have not used this much, but you can try, as per your need.
I frequently use CodeCanyon, GraphicRiver, PhotoDune & themeforest the most. Please feel free to explore.
